IS THE BIBLE GOD’S WORD?

A) AUTHENTICITY Before we go into further discussion, I want to make it very clear that Muslims believe the bible is has some parts of it that we as Muslims can accept as God’s words BUT still believe it has heaps of man’s words. So to the Muslims, it’s a mixture of both God’s & man’s words. The following exposition will set my position straight. But which is bible? The catholic bible which has 73 books or the protestant bible with 66 books! I’m confused as you are. The N.T was written years after Jesus. The first of the canonical gospels to be written was the one named “mark at around 65 & 70 AC. Followed by Mathew (80-85), Luke (80-85) and john (80-100) AC. None of the original copies exist & the earliest copy is dated 4th c after Christ.
WHO ARE THE AUTHORS? None of the existing copies bears the name of the author & scholars do guess; HEBREWS: “…author of the book is unknown…” Introduction to the King James Bible, new revised & updated 6th edition. PSALMS: “…in tradition David is credited with writing the Psalms, most scholars however consider this claim questionable.” Encarta Encyclopedia MARK: “although there’s no direct internal evidence of authorship…” New American bible pages 1064 LUKE:”…identification of Luke as author is primarily based on the “we” passage in acts” The amplified bible page 1153 JOHN:”…critical analysis makes it difficult to accept the idea that the gospel as it now stands was written by one person…” New American Bible pages 1136. MATHEW: “unknown author whom we shall continue to call Mathew…” New American Bible pages 1008. So scholars have to guess the authors. There is no clear evidence for authorship & the drama goes on.. The whole bible doesn’t claim to be fully God’s word and some authors prove this: “…to the rest speak I, NOT the Lord…”1 Corinthian: 7:12 “…concerning virgins, I HAVE NO command from the Lord..” 1 Corinthians: 7:25 Paul confesses to have lied in the name of God (Romans 3:7) but bible says God can’t lie (numbers 23:19)

BIBLE HAS BEEN CHANGED: “The gospel of mark ends abruptly at 16:8 & early atempts to ADD an ending shows…” The oxford companion to the Bible, Bruce Metzger & Michael Coogan, pg 496. “…scholars have noticed a lack of continuity…some other EDITOR clearly took care to gather these letters” NAB pg 1252. “…yet the king james version has GRAVE DEFFECTS…” The orthodox corruption of the bible,Bart Erhman pg 27. A list of some of the verses DELETED from RSV,NIV, GNB,NWT & other recent editions: mark 16:8-20, math 5:44, mark 11:26, acts 8:37, like 17:36, 1john 5:7, Romans 16:24, acts 24:7, mark 9:6, john 7:53,8:11 etc.

BIBLE & SCIENCE: Gen 11:1-8 gives a story of people who constructed the tower of Babel which could reach heaven. This causes a great scientific error cause we know the earth is spherical but not flat. Such primitive man could not reach heaven minus oxygen. Gen 1:16 says sun & moon have their own light. But we know moon light is reflected. According to bible geneology, the first man Adam lived 5813yrs ago. *I948 yrs btn Adam & Abraham. *1800yrs btn Abraham & Jesus *2013 yrs fromjesus to -date which totals to 5813yrs. This is confirmed by the jewish calender which is 5813yrs old now. But recent anthropological data shows that human race appeared tens of thousands of yrs ago. All seeds & trees are edible including poisonous ones !!!- Gen 1:29 Rainbow comes after the flood(gen 9:13-17) giving impression that the law of refraction never exisited before Noah Heavens have pillars according to job 26:11

BIBLE,HISTORY & MYTHS: NOAH & THE FLOODS: visiting genesis 6:7-8, we find the story of Noah & the sinful community where God causes the flood submerge the entire world. Calculating by geneology, it comes to btn the 21 & 22 century BC but this contradicts latest archeological data which shows that the 11th dynasty of Egypt & 3rd Babylonian dynasty flourished with no break of civilization & no signs of a major calamity destroying them. The graves open asunder, darkness at noon & crucifixion of a popular Jewish Rabi are myths. Philo judeas lived up to 50 CE, he recorded many Jewish events but we have no mention of such events happening in 1st c Palestine.
KILLINGS BY HEROD ?. HISTORIAN flavius Josephus carefully chronicled Herod’s abuses but never mentioned the killing of children by Herod the king as written in mathew 2:16-18. How could he kill children of his friends, civil servants, foreigners & his soldiers?.

CRUCIFIXION?. Historians like Josephus, Tacitus, phiny, & philo never mention the crucifixion of Jesus, which is portrayed in the gospels as a popular event. No evidence what so ever in inscription, book or monument that Jesus of Nazareth ever existed, crucified or even scourged under pilate. Rabi Wise searched the existing records of pilate’s court proceedings but found no mention of a trial of Jesus.

CALM & DESCENT PILATE. Reading the gospel narrations, you realise they portray pilate as a calm & descent individual, a merciful person who is even reluctant to crucifixion of Jesus but history paints him as a procurator of judea, a corupt & cruel person. Why are the gospels reluctant to criticise him ?? “…his cruelty and his continual murder of people untried & uncondemned…” philo of Alexandria on the embassy to Gaius (www.earlychristianwritings.com/yonge/book40.html). .

ROMAN RELEASES ???. The story of barabas being released in exchange of Jesus as a roman practice is total lie. It has never been a Roman custom to flee prisoners, Pilate was a cruel indidvidual who could never consent to mob demands, he was ruthless.

THE SANHEDRIN ????. The judaic law forbids meeting on the passover, be it at night, in private homes or even in temple precincts. The jews could never break this law but the gospel narratives show that they managed to break it in an attempt to try jesus.

GOD & HIS CHARACTER: the bible portrays a negative image to God; rested & refleshed- Gen 2:2, repents-Gen 6:5-6, scared-Gen 11:5-9, call for murder of all living things- ezek 9:5-7,defeated by jacob- gen 32:22-31, has back parts-exod 33:23.
